Hey there, It’s Brad with this week’s Sunday Sync, and our favorite tools just keeps getting better! If you’re not familiar with what a webhook is, it’s a way for one application to send real-time information to another application. Basically, letting programs talk to each other. They’re a bit too advanced for this newsletter, so we’ll focus on something more actionable. But it's a wild time-save we'll cover later. This week we’re going to be covering another essential for Notion success: The One Database Rule. The workspace guideline that keeps everything neat. Big project or small, this week’s 10 minutes saved are coming to you right now. 🔑 HighlightsThere’s always something happening in the Notion space, and this week is no exception. Whether it’s new features or fresh perspectives, here’s what’s catching everyone’s attention:
Click here to 👉 Get the Life Hub. With the ever-growing list of highlights, it’s clear that the Notion ecosystem is growing faster and smarter. Let’s talk about how to make it all work for you. The One Database Rule is a must if you want to keep your Notion workspace clean, efficient, and usable. Let me break it down for you. 🎓 The One Database RuleIf you’re diving into Notion and want to make it work smarter, not harder, there’s one rule that can completely transform your workspace: The One Database Rule. With a single database per function, you unlock Notion’s true power. This approach keeps things simple and efficient by assigning each core function, such as tasks, notes, or projects, to its own dedicated database. No duplicates, no scattered information, just a clean, centralized system that work for you. Making It Even Easier with Naming ConventionsHere’s a trick I use to stay super organized: consistent, clear database names. Inspired by web design logic, I name my databases like this:
“All [Database Items] [Workspace Acronym]”
For example, in my workspace, Brad’s Homebase, my tasks database is named:
“All Tasks [BH]”
And in our business workspace, The Productive Pathway, our tasks database is named:
“All Tasks [TPP]”
This little trick keeps everything easy to find, no matter where I am – desktop or mobile. 🚀 Project UpdatesThis week has been all about creating tools that save time and simplify work. Here’s a look behind the scenes:
And with that, our Sunday Sync has come to an end. I’m glad you read this far!
